Our Team

As the day-to-day operator of Blooma Tree Experts, KD manages all things finance, business administration, HR, and more. Kaustubh grew up in Redmond and went to high school at University Prep in northeast Seattle. After a 10-year stint on the East Coast, he’s excited to be back home in the Seattle area helping support our clients & crews!

Flavia is our energetic Operations Manager tasked with ensuring our clients & team have an excellent experience all around! With a strong background in both hospitality and tree care industries, she excels at customer service in a skilled trade environment.

Steven has 10+ years of tree work experience, making him one of the most knowledgeable & skilled members of the Blooma team. As a Crew Lead and ISA-Certified Arborist, he can manage his crews effectively to take care of clients’ trees in a professional, efficient manner. He has spent time in Oregon and Washington working on tree crews, so he knows the Pacific Northwest well.

Dylan joined Blooma as part of the Out On A Limb combination – after several years of line clearance & fire mitigation work in Colorado, he moved to the Pacific Northwest to learn about high-quality tree pruning. He is highly knowledgeable about complex rigging techniques. He’s gained his Tree Risk Assessment Qualification in addition to being an ISA-Certified Arborist. His next credential will be the Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), which he is currently in the process of obtaining.

Allen Tate brings 10+ years of fine pruning & tree healthcare experience as our Tree Care Operations Manager. He is a fine pruning & ornamental tree specialist, with deep experience examining tree & plant healthcare specifically in the Greater Seattle Area. As the leader of the Blooma Tree Care program, he works with clients to prescribe soil or spray treatment plans and teach them about cultural practices as well.

He is both an ISA-Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified – the certifications combined with years of practical tree climbing experience make him an excellent resource for clients & crews alike.

Randy is an apprentice climber and ISA-Certified Arborist. After starting his career in the Portland area, he moved up to Seattle to take a job at Blooma, where he has been expanding his skill set on everything from tree removals to tree pruning.

Mathew brings a wealth of arborist experience to Blooma clients. He’s passionate about great tree work and cares deeply about serving clients. He’s both an ISA-Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Qualified! Outside of the tree business, he enjoys getting out and playing golf whenever he can.

After a couple years of learning the ropes as a groundwork, Eli is now an Apprentice Climber. He has put in the hard work & effort to become a skilled & efficient tree pruner, in addition to driving big trucks with care & expertise. He is a former college football and lacrosse player, avid hiker and weightlifter, and enjoys his nomadic van-life wanderlust that brought him to Seattle from Ohio.

Keenan joined Blooma when we acquired his former company, Out On A Limb. He’s an ISA-Certified Arborist and WSDA-licensed pesticide operator. He’s passionate about all things trees and is rapidly expanding his climbing and plant healthcare skillsets. Keenan has a BS in Environmental Studies from UW.

Daniel is a second-generation arborist, following in his father’s footsteps. A natural climber who is technically-gifted, he’s also a very hard worker and passionate about building his arborist toolkit out. He’s a competitive climber as well, participating in local tree climbing competitions and just keeps on getting better!

James has spent multiple years with Blooma honing his skillset as an arborist. He’s got a great personality, which he pairs with being one the most hardworking & talented groundworkers on the team. He’s also our stump grinding specialist.

Ricky is one of our WSDA-certified pesticide operators providing deep-root fertilization and other soil treatments to promote the health & vigor of your trees & shrubs. Ricky comes to us from New York City! A plant & animal enthusiast, he loves working outside, learning about the trees, and all-around putting in hard work.

Jack re-joined Blooma for his second stint in 2024! After learning the trade a few years ago, he took some time running a landscaping crew before deciding to head back to the arborist world. A hard worker with a positive attitude, Jack is a great re-addition to the Blooma team!

Amber joined Blooma at the end of February 2022, and she brings with her a bubbly, positive attitude. She has 12 siblings, and she says that has made her shy (but you can’t tell). Currently enrolled at City University, Amber is working on her degree in Project Management.

Judy Macauley is wife to Martin and stepmom to Josiah. She helped Blooma since its inception in 2005 and joined the team full-time in 2014 until her recent retirement from the company in 2022. She’s now enjoying creating fused glass art and spend time with her beautiful grandchildren.

Martin comes from a long line of tree experts. With a grandfather who was an Oregon logger in the 1930s and 40s, and a father who founded a successful logging company in the 1960s and 70s, Martin grew up with a love of trees and a keen knowledge of balancing customer needs with natural aesthetics. After earning a mechanical engineering degree (UW ’85) and an MBA (Seattle U ’90), Martin found life as a Boeing engineer too stuffy (he calls it the “cubicle lifestyle”). He returned to the outdoors as a tree man, soon earning his arborist certificate from the International Society of Arboriculture and founding Blooma Tree Experts LLC. He married Judy in 2007, and soon afterward, enticed her to join Blooma.

Josiah learned the ropes from his father throughout high school and college, working on the Blooma crew every summer and holiday break. After earning his business degree at the University of Washington, Josiah worked several places, ending up as an arborist for the city of Seattle Department of Transportation. In 2016, he fulfilled his father’s goal and joined the family firm. Today, Josiah is a crew leader and estimator for Blooma. He is married to his lovely wife, Lauryn.
